1.) Magic Johnson

Magic changed the way the game was played at the Point Guard position. At 6 ft 9 in there was no other like him before. He not only could score with his size, but his vision on the court was tremendous. His career line was 19.5 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 11.2 APG and was also a 3-time NBA MVP, 3-time NBA Finals MVP, 10-time All NBA, and a 12-time All-Star. He also had won 5 NBA championships with the Lakers. What’s even more impressive is how he even missed 4 seasons while having to deal with his HIV virus.

2.) Jerry West

Jerry West was not only dynamic on the offensive end but was also a great defender. On the offensive side he averaged 27.0 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 6.7 APG and was also a 5-time Defensive Player of the year. He was also a Finals MVP, 12-time All NBA, and 14-time All Star. Despite only winning on NBA Title he was tremendous in the playoffs. Let’s also no forget that he is the logo of the NBA.

3.) Oscar Robertson

Oscar was the first person to ever average a triple-double for a full season in NBA history and was the only one to do so until Russell Westbrook finally did 55 years later. He racked up stats like no other, he averaged 25.7 PPG, 9.5 APG, and 7.5 RPG. he was also an NBA MVP, 12-time All Star, and an 11-time All-NBA. Even the College player of the year award was named after this phenomenal athlete.

4.) Steph Curry

Steph Curry has changed the deep ball game and is already considered the greatest 3pt shooter of all time. While he is on the court he makes it fun to watch at all times. He was the leader of maybe the greatest team of all time. Only through 10 seasons he is already a 2-time NBA MVP, 5-time All NBA, 7-time All Star, and has won the NBA Championship 3 times. That is quite a haul of achievements for only 10 seasons and I see more coming in the future. For his career he has averaged 23.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 6.6 APG and is currently in his prime.

5.) Isiah Thomas

Isiah Thomas was the leader of the tough and gritty Detroit Pistons of the 1980’s. He was dominant and would refuse to sit and played through multiple injuries. He drove to the basket easily and had fantastic vision on the court. On defense he would simply not allow an easy bucket for anyone. For his career he averaged 19.2 PPG, 3.6 RPG, and 9.3 APG. In his career he racked up and NBA Finals MVP, 3 All NBA Teams, and won 2 NBA Championships. Thomas played with only gear, and it showed on the court.
